The Favor of God (The FOG)

You Are Saturated With The Glory of God

Can you handle the favor Jesus had?  The favor of man was the blessing that came from man it was not the crowd that caused Him to walk in favor of man. Some of the crowd hated Him.

You can have people favor you. The dictionary defines favor as to show preferential treatment, to give advantage to another, and to give special favors. To favor means to give special regard to; to treat with goodwill; to show exceptional kindness to someone.

Sometimes, it means to show extra kindness in comparison to the treatment of others; that is, preferential treatment.

Do you think your life would be better if people gave you preferential treatment?  Of course it would.

Favor should be working in our life. And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. (Luke 2:52)

Jesus grew in favor, not only with God, but also with men. People favored Jesus. They crucified Him, but at the same time, crowds came to hear Him preach.

And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men. (1 Samuel 2:26)

And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. (Luke 2:52)

What the Bible says about finding favor with God

A psalmist said that the favor of God was the difference between life and death. “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.” (Psalm 30:5-7)

“I entreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word” (Psalm 119:58)

“Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation.” (Psalm 106:4)  So how do we increase in favor with God. The book of Proverbs tells us how.

Solomon:. “For whoso findeth me [wisdom] findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.” (Proverbs 8:35-36)

Further, Solomon says we find God’s grace by following His mercy and truth. “Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.” (Proverbs 3:3-4)

FAVOR is the special affection  of God toward  you that releases an influence on you, so that others are inclined to like you, or to cooperate with you.(” Lance Wallnau Favor with man.)
